"A Taste of Downtoan Glendale" held on May 7, 2007, was a great success!
Over 1000 people strolled the streets of Brand to sample delicious food from 25 of the top restaurants in Glendale. It was an evening of great fun, visiting favorites and discovering new ones. One guest described the event as a "delightful evening to nibble and nosh a plethora of portions of marvelous morsels and tasty treats." Now, that's a bit of a mouthfull!!! There was a real community feeling as friends mingled and listening to the sounds of Glen Roberts Band, and the Hoover and Crescenta Valley Jazz Bands. Proceeds from the evening will be used by Glendale Healthy Kids to help low-income, uninsured children receive medical and dental services through the referral program and the USC Mobile Dental Clinic, which will be held in July. It was a wonderful night, perfect weather and a genuine spirit of community giving. Our thanks to the restaurants, sponsors and companies that sold tickets.
